Spillages: How should an accidental release/spillage of this substance be dealt with?

LARGE SPILLS: ABSORN IN VERMICULITE, DRY SAND AND DISPOSED OF CAREFULLY.WASH SMALL SPILLS TO DRAIN.

TEAM MUST WEAR ALL APRIOPRIATE PPE LISTED UNDER THE CONTROL MEASURES SECTION OF THIS ASSESSMENT WHEN DEALING WITH ANY SPILLAGES.


First aid: What actions should be taken if the substance is:

a) Swallowed?

WASH OUT MOUTH WATER.

b) In contact with eyes?

BATHE EYE WITH RUNNING WATER FOR 15 MINUTES

c) In contact with skin?

WASH IMMEDIATLEY WITH PLENTY OF SOAP AND WATER

d) Inhaled?

Fire precautions: What actions should be taken in the event of fires involving this substance?

SUITABLE EXTINGUISHING MEDIA FOR THE SURROUNDING FIRE SHOULD BE USED, USE WATER TO COOL CONTIANERS. IN COMBUSTION EMITS TOXIC FUMES

FIRE FIGHTERS: WEAR SELF-CONTAINED BREATHING APPERATUS, WEAR PROTECTIVE CLOTHING TO PREVENT CONTACT WITH SKIN AND EYES.
