2. GENERAL COMPOSITION

CONTAINS AMPHOTERIC SURFACTANTS 5% - 15% POTASSIUM HYDROXIDE 10%, PHOSPHATES 0.2% - 2% AND TRACE CARAMEL (COLOURING MATTER) IN AN AQUEOUS GEL.

3. HAZARD IDENTIFICATION

CAUSES SEVERE BURNS TO SKIN, EYES AND MUCOUS MEMBRANES.

4. FIRST AID MEASURES
Inhalation : NOT APPLICABLE. VIRTUALLY ODOURLESS.
Skin Contact : IMMEDIATELY WASH WITH PLENTY OF WATER, PREFERABLY UNDER A SHOWER IF AFFECTED AREA IS LARGE ENOUGH. REMOVE CONTAMINATED CLOTHING AND WASH BEFORE RE-USE. OBTAIN MEDICAL ATTENTION IF IRRITATION PERSISTS OR BLISTERING OCCURS.
Eye Contact : IRRIGATE EYE THOROUGHLY FOR AT LEAST 10 MINUTES HOLDING THE EYELIDS APART IF NECESSARY. OBTAIN MEDICAL ATTENTION.
Ingestion : WASH OUT WITH WATER. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. GIVE WARM WATER TO DRINK. OBTAIN MEDICAL ATTENTION URGENTLY.
5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
Extinguishing Media : SELECT EXTINGUISHING MEDIUM APPROPRIATE TO OTHER MATERIALS INVOLVED.
Hazardous Combustion Products : CONTACT WITH ZINC OR ALUMINIUM LIBERATES FLAMMABLE GAS HYDROGEN. SELF-CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUS SHOULD BE WORN.
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Personal Precautions : WEAR IMPERVIOUS GLOVES/OVERALLS AND BOOTS WHILE CLEARING UP SPILLAGE.
Environmental Precautions : IF SIZE OF SPILLAGE WARRANTS AND HAS CONTAMINED SURFACE DRAINS OR WATER COURSES IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO ADVISE THE APPROPRIATE AUTHORITIES.
Spillage : AVOID CONTACT WITH LIQUID. VENTILATE THE AREA. DILUTE SMALL SPILLAGES TO DRAIN WITH WATER. LARGER SPILLAGES SHOULD BE NEUTRALISED WITH ACETIC ACID THEN WASH TO DRAINS.

Handling : CONTACT WITH SKIN SHOULD BE MINIMISED BY GOOD HYGIENE PRACTICE. WEAR PROTECTIVE CLOTHING (GLOVES) COMMENSURATE TO THE WORK BEING CARRIED OUT.
Storage : AMBIENT CONDITIONS PREFERABLY NOT ADJACENT TO STRONG ACIDS.

Conditions to Avoid  : CONTACT WITH ZINC, ALUMINIUM OR ALLOYS. CONTACT WITH STRONG ACIDS. EXCESSIVE CONDITIONS OF COLD AND HEAT. 
11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION
EYE CONTACT  : WOULD CAUSE IMMEDIATE IRRITATION WITH POSSIBLE CORNEA DAMAGE. WASH WELL WITH CLEAN WATER IRRIGATING EYE FOR 10 MINUTES AND SEEK MEDICAL ADVICE. 
SKIN CONTACT  : WOULD CAUSE IRRITATION AND SKIN INFLAMMATION LEADING TO BURNS ON PROLONGED CONTACT. WASH OFF WITH CLEAN WATER. 
INHALATION  : VERY UNLIKELY A PROBLEM (LOW ODOUR). IF AFFECTED REMOVE PATIENT TO FRESH AIR AND SEEK MEDICAL ADVICE. 
INGESTION  : WOULD CAUSE IRRITATION AND CORROSION OF THE MOUTH, THROAT AND DIGESTIVE TRACT. DRINK PLENTY OF WATER OR MILK TO DILUTE AND SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING.
