After leaving school with a handful of O Levels I started working in an office as a costing clerk for a family business in East London. After 2 years of boredom and low pay I started a part-time job cleaning kitchens at weekends to earn extra money...that was way back in 1977. In 1978 Sally and I set up our kitchen cleaning business and learnt lots of hard but valuable lessons about business and life. Although I have always remained involved with the Bright Hygiene Ltd I've enjoyed developing new ideas like the How's My Driving scheme for commercial vehicles and helping other people get started in running their own businesses.

When I'm not day dreaming up new ideas I enjoy playing badminton and the very odd game of chess ... or is that just the way I play it!
